Privacy Policy
This policy describes what information Noto collects when you use the service at asknoto.ai and asknoto.app, and how that information is handled. Noto is operated by Pivot Media Holdings LLC. Questions: hello@asknoto.app.
What we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, and profile image, provided when you sign in.
- Content you create: tasks, projects, notes, links, messages, and other material you add to your workspace.
- AI request content: text you enter and relevant workspace context needed to complete AI-backed actions you request.
- Connected Google and Gmail data: if you connect Google services, we process account, calendar, mailbox, draft, send status, and triage metadata needed to provide Noto Mail and related features.
- Usage and device data: pages you view, actions you take, IP address, browser and operating system, and approximate location derived from IP.
- SMS support data: if you text Noto or Ava, we process your phone number, message content, opt-in or opt-out status, delivery metadata, and related support conversation history so we can respond to your request.
How we use it
- To operate the service, sync your workspace, and show you your content.
- To generate responses, parse requested actions, summarize or extract information, and complete AI-backed actions you ask Noto to perform.
- To improve features, diagnose issues, and prevent abuse.
- To send transactional messages such as sign-in links, receipts, and security alerts.
- To send occasional product updates you can opt out of at any time.
SMS and mobile information
Noto uses SMS for low-volume customer-care and account-support conversations with people who intentionally contact Noto or ask to receive support by text. Message frequency varies based on the conversation. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, reply HELP for help, or email hello@asknoto.app.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Sharing
We share data with service providers that help us run Noto, including authentication, hosting and infrastructure, error monitoring, analytics, communications, and AI service providers when needed to generate responses or complete actions you request. These providers are bound by contractual terms that limit use of your data to providing services to us.
If you use Noto Mail, email content may be processed by Noto's backend and AI service providers to summarize threads, identify messages that may need a response, extract requested follow-up details, and draft replies for your review. Noto does not use Google user data to train generalized AI or machine learning models, does not sell Google user data, and does not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve user-facing Noto features, comply with law, or protect security.
The use of information received from Google Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We do not sell personal data. We may disclose data if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your content from production systems within a reasonable period and from backups as they cycle.
Your rights
You can access, export, correct, or delete your data by emailing hello@asknoto.app. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar storage for sign-in, session state, and optional analytics. You can block non-essential cookies in your browser; the service may not fully work without session cookies.
Children
Noto is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.
International transfers
Your data may be stored and processed in countries other than your own. We rely on standard contractual clauses and provider commitments to protect it.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in-product or by email. Continued use of Noto after a change means you accept the updated policy.
